Major Announcement: We’ve moved to “Fiberazzi.com”. Here’s what to expect !
TweetHello readers,
This is an major notification to all our readers that we’ve moved our Fiber Technology Blog to a new web address, Fiberazzi.com. We’ve made domain transition from GoogleFiber.com to domain name Fiberazzi.com as a result of a request by concerned representatives of Google Inc. who contacted us regarding the close resemblance of our domain name GoogleFiber.com with Google’s project, Google Fiber for Communities, causing false impression to many of the site visitors that GoogleFiber.com is a Google sponsored/affiliated/backed website.
Soon, the current domain name GoogleFiber.com will be handed over to Google/their representatives. And from now on, we will continue our news and information reporting on Fiber Network Industry around the globe on our new domain, Fiberazzi.com
Now that we’ve moved to Fiberazzi.com, here’s what to expect from our new website from now on…
1. Daily news and updates on Fiber network Industry around the globe (For reference, you can expect articles like Breaking: 16% of US Homes can opt for Fiber-to-the-home service, right now)
2. Daily facts about Fiber technology & Fiber Industry (*New addition to our coverage scope*)
3. Fundamental concept explanations relating to Fiber Optic technology and Industry standards. (For reference, you can expect articles like Fiber Splicing, FTTH, Fiber Optic Cables etc)
4. An exclusive, daily updated sections for two adorable cities, Asheville and Greenville. (*Special addition*)
Let us elaborate a little more about the 4th offering of Fiberazzi.com, which is undoubtedly a special one for the residents of Greenville and Asheville.
Since we started our website back in february 2010, we have had a great deal of participation from visitors from across the U.S., but we must admit that two cities, namely Asheville and Greenville, kept the Snowball rolling. The residents of both Asheville and Greenville showed unprecedented love and support for their cities, mostly by participating in the Voting Challenge(which is Closed now) and by leaving comments on the website elaborating the goodness of their cities.
Hence, as a tribute to exceptional participation from both the city residents and to immortalize and keep resonating the voices(via comments) of residents of Asheville and Greenville about their respective cities, we’ve created two exclusive sections on our new website Fiberazzi.com, Just Asheville and Just Greenville , wherein we will make daily updates to both the two sections with 5 new user comments, handpicked out of thousands of comments that we’ve received till date.
We must clarify here that we will publish only those comments where the ‘chosen comment’ represents positive description/information about any of the two cities and we will NOT publish any comment that relates, in any way, to Google or Google Fiber project.
We strongly recommend keeping a daily watch on Just Asheville and Just Greenville as this will really be an interesting and delightful section to read, especially for the residents of Asheville and Greenville. If you belong to any of the two chosen cities, you can continue leaving your comments to dedicated sections of the two cities. Deserving comments will eventually be picked and published within the section, immortalizing the love and support about your city.
Summing up the things, we will do our best in making Fiberazzi.com, a delightful and exhilarating experience for all our readers and we look forward to seeing all of you again, rather everyday !
